Renal cell Carcinoma ( Kidney Cancer) treatment in India -CMCS Health.


Renal cell carcinoma (RCC) is the most common of the kidney cancers occurring in adults. 
Renal cell carcinoma originates in small tubes in kidneys called tubules.These Tubules help in filtering the blood,excreting the wastes and toxins and also helps in making urine. 
Kidney cancer is a fast growing cancer and may spread to lungs and other surrounding organs if not treated in time.

What are risk factors for Kidney cancer?


Like other cancers in humans,the exact cause for kidney cancer 
can not be pinpointed to a single factor. But the known factors for kidney cancers can be:
  • Genetic or hereditary ( A family history of having the disease)
  • Smoking tobacco
  • Hemodialysis
  • Hypertension
  • Obesity
  • Misuse and overuse of over the counter pain medicines  (NSIADS)
  •  Polycystic kidney disease
  • Von Hippel-Lindau disease

Symptoms of Kidney cancer:


Like many other cancers,kidney cancer patients does not show or experience any symptoms in early stages but as the cancer progresses patients may experience following symptoms:
  • Feeling of a lump in the abdomen.
  • Hematuria ( blood in urine)
  • Unexplained weight loss.'
  • Loss of appetite
  • A persistent fatigue or malaise
  • Excessive hair growth in women ( Hirsutism) 
  • Persistence pain in the side.
  • Vision problems.

Diagnosing kidney cancer:


  • Family and medical history
  • Physical examination for finding out a lump or enlarged lymph nodes in abdominal region and varicoceles in male patients.
  •  CBC ( complete blood count)
  • CT scans
  • Ultrasounds (lower abdomen and KUB region)
  • Urine examination
  • Biopsy
Other tests for staging of kidney cancer ,if a person is found to have kidney cancer.
  • PET CT
  • Bone scan
  • Chest X Ray.

Treatments for Kidney cancer:


  • Surgery ( Nephrectomy if the disease is localised)
  • Radiation therapy ( Although Radiation therapy have limited effect on RCC)

A successful Kidney transplant for guest from Bangladesh-CMCS Health

Mr Shaikh Fazlul "Rony" is a jolly, happy-go-lucky young man from Bangladesh. He was having some health issues like swelling on his legs and face and feeling tired combined with high blood pressure. Bangladesh doctors recommended some blood tests to find the reason for his declining health. He was diagnosed with chronic renal failure because of high serum creatinine and blood urea. He was put on Hemodialysis twice a week to filter out toxins from his body for temporary management and was advised about a Kidney or renal transplant for a permanent cure.
Mr. Rony was referred to CMCS Health and Medicare Pvt. Ltd. for an early transplant. He went to CMC Vellore in India for a KTP but the waiting was big.
On receiving his medical reports, we discussed the case with Numero Uno of Kidney transplant in India Prof. Dr. Anant Kumar, Chairman -Urology, robotics and Kidney Transplant at Max Healthcare, New Delhi.
Dr Anant has advised a kidney transplant for him.
We send him the details of the Kidney transplant, the cost of treatment, and other important details.
We have sent Mr. Rony the list of documents required for Organ transplant committee approval and asked for passport copies for a medical visa assistance letter from Max Hospital.
We helped and coordinated the medical visa processing for Mr. Rony, his donor aunt, and medical attendants to come to Delhi for his kidney transplant.


Mr. Rony came to India with his donor aunt and brother for his Kidney transplant. He was received at IGI Airport Delhi by the Patient welfare Manager of CMCS Health Mr. Mohammad Sohel Hossain.



At the guest house before visiting Prof. Dr Anant Kumar at Max Healthcare. Guests are accommodated in a guest house or Hotel room, depending on their budget and requirements in a safe and secure environment in the vicinity of their treating hospital.


Briefing at CMCS Health and Medicare Pvt. ltd. office about treatment course and cost and replying to queries of guests before taking them to the hospital was followed by lunch.


Guests are taken care of like family members so that they never feel that they are away from home and in a foreign country. Mr. Rony at Max Hospital, Saket for the start of his kidney transplant process.


Mr. Rony has his birthday during his stay in India for his kidney transplant. CMCS Health team was present on his big day for his birthday celebration.

On the eve of his surgery, We had our Iftaar at Max Hospital before hospital admission for his kidney transplant.



Mr Rony is finally being admitted to the hospital for his scheduled Kidney transplant.

Mr Rony was discharged from the hospital, post a successful Kidney transplant surgery with full functioning transplanted kidney.
